We’ve reviewed volumes of references in all aspects of leadership and come to the view that whilst leadership can be learned, leaders have more impact, respect and influence depending on the degree of personal experience they’ve had ‘on the ground’. We’ve observed that ‘leading people from the inside out’ creates significant changes in understanding and being able to influence and lead other people.

We find examples of leadership in all aspects of family, business, community and social lives. Leaders have many different styles, traits, habits and characteristics – with the ultimate aim of guiding, taking or showing an individual or a group of people to a predetermined place of being. We have individual, team, government, business and community leaders all contributing to the future.
The way a leader impacts is by whom and how many people are prepared to follow and move with them. Followers have their own ideas about strategies the leaders should have in place to win the game, the next election or to get better business results, improve company performance or to provide employees with a better work life balance.
The identification and recognition of values between followers and leaders significantly impacts the way forward and ultimately, in achieving the best end result.
